El Patrimonio: Leading Texas Toward a Cleaner Future

Ashtrom Renewable Energy is currently constructing the El Patrimonio utility-scale solar power plant in Bexar County, Texas, spanning approximately 867 acres. Construction commenced in 2025, with commercial operations expected to begin in 2027.

Once operational, the facility will have a generation capacity of approximately 150 MWac—enough to power an estimated 37,000 households—and is expected to reduce approximately 193,000 tons of CO₂ emissions annually.

Under a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement with CPS Energy, the municipal utility of San Antonio (Aa2 credit rating, Moody’s), the company will sell approximately 70% of the electricity generated by the project, along with renewable energy certificates. The remaining electricity will be offered in the Texas open electricity market, supporting cost efficiency for consumers.

In March 2026, Ashtrom Renewable Energy signed an approximately $200 million financing agreement with BHI, the U.S. branch of Bank Hapoalim B.M. In parallel, the company entered into an agreement with a major U.S. institution (Aa3 credit rating, Moody’s) to monetize the project’s Production Tax Credits over a 10-year period.
