Generating Clean Energy From the Sun

The El Patrimonio solar facility, located in Bexar County, Texas, is in the advanced planning stages following the successful acquisition of land rights and a grid connection agreement. Construction is scheduled to commence in 2025, with commercial operations expected to begin in the second half of 2027.

The El Patrinomio solar facility is expected to generate clean electricity with a capacity of approximately 150MWac, supplying power for around 37,000 households annually. This will contribute to a reduction of approximately 194,000 tons of CO2 emissions per year. 

Additionally, about 70% of the facility's electricity output has already been pre-sold to CPS Energy, San Antonio's municipal electric company, under a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA).
