Expanding the Greasewood Cluster with Energy Storage

The Marigold BESS project is a battery energy storage facility located in Pecos County, Texas, and is part of the broader Greasewood cluster currently being developed by Ashtrom Renewable Energy. The project will be co-located with the Whitethorn PV project (150 MWac) and is intended to support grid reliability and energy flexibility.

Once operational, the facility is expected to provide approximately 300 MWh of energy storage capacity. As part of the development process, the project team is progressing interconnection, permitting and commercial activities. As Ashtrom Renewable Energy’s third battery storage project, Marigold BESS builds on the company’s growing experience in integrated solar and storage.
